Idaho State Police are continuing their investigation involving a single-vehicle crash that occurred on November 2nd, just outside of Council, Idaho. The driver, a 72-year-old man, was driving a 2000 Ford pickup truck eastbound on Council Cuprum Road.
At roughly 5:40 p.m. when he reached mile post 16, he veered slightly and left the roadway. He attempted to turn back but overcorrected and the vehicle overturned.
The man was wearing a seatbelt at the time of the accident, but he succumbed to his injuries at the scene. The eastbound lanes were blocked for about 6 hours as a result of the crash.

Although some car accidents may just be an accident, even single vehicle crashes may be caused by the negligence of a different person or entity than the driver involved in the accident.
