Two vehicles collided head on just outside of Fort Hall, Idaho on Friday December 6th. The crash occurred at mile post 83.5 around 10:56 p.m.
Two individuals, a 49-year-old man from Blackfoot, Idaho, and his passenger, a 45-year-old woman from Grace, Idaho, were travelling northbound on I 15 when another vehicle crossed the center line and collided with them. They were in a 2024 Nissan Sendra when another driver, traveling southbound on the northbound side of the road, hit them. The other driver, a 63-year-old from Pocatello, Idaho, was driving a 2007 Honda CR-V at the time of the accident.
Both the driver of the Nissan and the driver of the Honda succumbed to their injuries and passed at the scene. The passenger of the Nissan was transported to a local hospital by air ambulance to have her injuries treated.
We are sorry to hear about this accident and we send our deepest condolences to the loved ones of these two individuals who passed. We also hope the woman is able to make a full recovery.

LIABILTIY FOR ACCIDENTS IN IDAHO
No one who gets into or drives a vehicle wants to be involved in an accident. But unfortunately, car accidents happen. Idaho uses a fault-based system to impose liability on the party most at-fault for the accident. A legal principle called “comparative negligence,” is applied to determine the negligence of all involved parties. If the Plaintiff’s negligence is less than 50%, then she generally can recover damages from the Defendant (or the Defendant’s insurance policy).
Our personal injury attorneys can advise injured persons about their particular case and how Idaho’s legal principles of negligence, causation, and liability apply to it.
